Five Bible Verses to Help You Overcome Stress

In times of burden and in times of need, we pray to the Lord to provide us guidance and enlightenment. The Bible is one of the greatest scriptures ever written, and the advice that it can provide us goes beyond our human expectations because of the divinity embedded in each word of the Bible. When you’re feeling down and in need of that motivation, here are five Bible verses to help you overcome stress.

(John 14:27) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

These words represent the virtue of peace as an important aspect of motivating you to calm your senses every time you’re disturbed or worried because the Lord’s peace is enough to calm all restless souls.

(Romans 8:6) For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

You should stop thinking too much about material wealth and focus on pleasing the Lord. The message of this verse is that you should do good to others rather than focus on personal wealth. Always look toward Heaven where all your wants will be fulfilled, but for now, focus on the Lord.

(1 Peter 5:6, 7) Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

You should remain humble in the face of everyone because the Lord will give you the blessings you deserve.

(Proverbs 16:3) Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.

In everything you do, be God-centered. He should be the one you should be living for because He gave you life. Being career-oriented, focus your career on the Lord and your projects shall be realized with great purpose and fulfillment.

(Jeremiah 17:7,8) “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

The Lord will guide you through all the trials that you will face and He shall provide you with what you deserve. Always learn to trust in Him and you shall be relieved of the stress you bear.

Always remember to pray to the Lord and He shall provide you with the answers you deserve. Be vigilant and faithful. Your stress will fade away through the virtue of prayer, so make sure you embrace these verses with the desire of fulfilling the Lord’s promise as you have a purpose He has written in this temporary world.
